Why does my pet need this?

Pet owners tend to undervalue the importance of mental stimulation, which leads to common behavioral problems. Will my dog destroy the product?

We often receive feedback that pets become protective of their snuffle mats. All new toys should be introduced with proper guidance, so we recommend following our Instructions to create the optimal experience. This will allow your pet to understand the objective of the activity and fall in love with Snuffle Time!

Instructions

• We recommend guiding your pet during their first snuffle. All pets approach new items with curiosity - although some may take to it immediately, some may benefit with extra help.

• Scatter some of their favourite treats into the product and lead them to it. Their noses will tell them something tasty lies within, so they should automatically begin to snuffle!

• Praise them vocally (or with touch) each time they find a treat. Stop them if they become too excited and lose focus - this is key to maximising the benefits of Snuffle Time long-term. 

• If they begin playing with the product itself (or chewing it) after the treats are gone, remove the product from their reach so they learn that the objective is to snuffle.

• As your pet becomes more familiar with the product and can adopt a calm and conducted approach, you may begin making Snuffle Time more challenging. Bury the treats deep within, switch up the shapes (if applicable) and even add an entire meal to the product. This will encourage slower eating, and make mealtime fun!

• Once pets are comfortable with the product and activity, they may be left alone with the product and enjoy some independent Snuffle Time!
